10th Annual Human Rights Awards Dinner Report

Our 10th Human Rights Awards Dinner held in November was an enormous success with over 420 people attending and a record-breaking £375,000 raised for New Israel Fund. The award winners: ACRI, Israel’s oldest and largest human rights organisation, Zazim, a fledgling digital campaigning community for social and political change, and Mahapach-Taghir, a Jewish-Arab social change organisation that works through empowerment and education, brought a truly inspiring message for change.

As Sarit Larry of Mahapach-Taghir stated so simply and powerfully on the night: ‘When we work together, we have much more power.’

The evening galvanised the NIF community’s commitment to creating a brighter future for Israel especially and we were delighted that our young adult New Gen community had such a central role in the evening, awarding Zazim with the first ever New Gen prize.

If you couldn’t make it on the night, please do take a look at the short films we commissioned about ACRI, Zazim and Mahapach-Taghir which are now up on our youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/NewIsraelFundUK.

Our work begins to make 2017’s HRAD even more memorable.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Our chairman Clive Sheldon with the winners from Acri, Mahapach-Taghir, and Zazim.
