We provided ‘Have You Seen the Horizon’ with funds for a public campaign to amplify the message “that most Arabs and Jews in Israel reject violence and believe that the two groups can live together in peace” (aChord Center, 2021) to counteract reactionary voices and increase media coverage of joint Jewish-Arab activities. The multimedia campaign included: billboards in mixed cities, radio advertisement, social media marketing and media appearances by leading personalities all echoing this message. The campaign reached over 2 million and had a marked effect of on public and media discourse.Funding campaigns amplifying Arab-Jewish partnership. The phrase “Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies” went viral across Israel and around the world thanks to grassroots movement Omdim Beyachad (Standing Together).

June
We provided Mossawa with emergency funding to provide Arab citizens whose rights were infringed (indicted, victims of police brutality, and fired for taking part in the general strike) as a result of the events of recent weeks. This led to the documentation of 250 cases, including damage suits against the police and resulted in cancellation of dismissals of Arab employees who were fired, investigations of police offers who committed violence against demonstrators and ultimately successful damage suits against the police.
