Thank you for your interest in playing a leadership role at the New Israel Fund, and strengthening our ongoing commitment to advancing democracy, equality, and justice in Israel.

We are looking to appoint up to three new trustees to start in 2024 and identify two additional candidates who can take up the role of trustee in 2025.

We would love to hear from people who have an interest in building a better Israel for all its citizens and who will bring a diversity of skills and perspectives to our board.

The last eighteen months have been the most difficult any of us can remember. Following the assault on democracy by the most right-wing government ever to lead the country, Israel was changed forever by the atrocities committed by Hamas on 7 October.  The New Israel Fund responded swiftly and effectively assisting thousands of displaced people, working to ensure violence did not break out in Israel’s mixed cities, and supporting the unprotected Bedouin communities in the South. NIF’s work continues today, supporting the families of the hostages, and working with our grantees and civil society leaders to address the ongoing challenges to Israel’s democracy and thinking about the end of the war and the ‘day after’.

Both in the UK and in Israel, NIF is engaging more people and raising more money, which reflects a growing resonance with our work towards a safe, equal, and just Israel for all its citizens.

Whatever your background, if you share our passion for building a more just and equal Israeli society and engaging those in the UK with our vision, this opportunity could be for you.
