Join Us: An Evening with Mikhael Manekin

Dear Friend,

We are delighted to warmly invite you to join us on Sunday 16th June for an evening with Harvard University’s Religion and Public Life Fellow, Israeli leader and activist Mikhael Manekin.

Mikhael is the Director of the Alliance Fellowship programme, an Arab-Jewish Israeli political network and training programme supported by the New Israel Fund

Mikhael is the 2023 individual winner of NIF’s Human Rights Award. He has been honoured for his exceptional work towards defending democracy and protecting and promoting human rights.

As director of the Alliance Fellowship, Mikhael works directly with established and emerging progressive leaders in Israel who are focused on civic equality for all citizens of Israel.

His 2023 book, End of Dayslooks at the imperative of Jewish morality at a time of Jewish Israeli power, and calls for Israelis to look into the ethics of their own religion to question the actions of the Occupation.

He is the former Executive Director of Breaking the Silence, an organisation formed of Israeli veterans working to educate the Israeli public on the reality of Israeli military control in the West Bank and Gaza.

Mikhael is also the former director of Molad, the centre for the renewal of Israeli democracy, and more recently was instrumental in founding ‘Smol Ha’emuni’- the Faithful Left movement, that counters the government’s misrepresentation of Jewish values.

The event will be taking place between 7:30-9:00pm. The event will be held in NW8. The exact location will be sent to you a few days before the event.

To register, click here. Tickets are £12/6 concessions.

We are also holding a Hebrew speakers event on Monday 17th June. Join us for a pint in Camden and a thought-provoking conversation with Mikhael Manekin. Click here for details.

We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a highly moving encounter with one of Israel’s most remarkable thinkers and leaders.

Refreshments will be served.

Warm wishes,

Atira Winchester
