NIF work across the spectrum of Israeli society to inform and educate people of their rights, so they can advocate on their own behalf.

RIGHT TO PROTECTION
We informed female public housing residents about their rights to protection against sexual harassment, historically a serious problem. This past year for the first time, no cases were reported.

LANGUAGE
The 2017 Basic Law removed Arabic as an “official” language. This led to a drastic reduction of key information being available in Arabic in the public sphere. This lack of access often leads to uniformed decisions, with potentially huge implications. This past year we have successfully campaigned for the following information be available in both Hebrew and Arabic:

· Israel Electrical Corporation

· Hotline for Mental Health Assistance

· End of Life Consent Forms

We will continue to work for Arabic to be widely available for a more inclusive society which respects and values the language and culture.
