Lunch with Mikhael Manekin
We were delighted to host a lunch with Mikhael Manekin earlier this month.
Mikhael is our 2023 Human Rights Award winner and an inspiring and impactful leader, who has worked to advance equality, justice and a safer, shared future for Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Arabs. A published author, Mikhael is also one of the founders of the Faithful Left, who campaign to offer a religious alternative to extremists who profane Judaism.

Mikhael will be in conversation with Josh Glancy.

Previously he was the paper’s special correspondent, writing about everything from politics and football to AI and monarchy. Before that, Josh spent five years in America, where he was the paper’s Washington correspondent and before that New York correspondent, also contributing a regular magazine column on life in the States. Josh has been nominated four times for feature writer and interviewer of the year, at the Press Awards and British Journalism Awards.
Josh has written for the Jewish Chronicle and now writes regularly for the Jewish News.
Their conversation explored the themes of religious extremism, defending democracy, arab-jewish partnership and finding hope and a way forward during the current war.
