The New Israel Fund has been opening up opportunities to advance equality and democracy for all Israelis for 25 years providing £30 million to 900 organisations, always guided by our shared values – democracy, equality, and social justice.

Our impact over 25 years

Thanks to your support thousands of Israel’s progressive civil society organisations have been founded, funded and flourished.

Together we have defended democracy, empowered equality and pursued justice for some of Israel’s most challenging issues. This includes improving the status of Israeli Arabs, to increasing access to healthcare in Israel’s peripheries and opening the door to affordable housing. The year ahead The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of Israeli society and the inter-communal violence in May exposed fraught fault lines. As we look forward hopefully to a new year of health and opening up, NIF will continue to defend Israel’s democratic institutions, combat racism, promote equality, and fight for human rights.
