Support Our Emergency Grants
The last few weeks have been particularly challenging for us all.
As COVID-19 spreads it is affecting us all in profound ways. With whole communities ordered to stay inside, and more people falling ill, we are all adapting to a very difficult reality.
We know that this pandemic is not affecting everyone in the same way and the New Israel Fund has a vital role to play in protecting those communities that are most in need.
That is why our Emergency Appeal will directly support those most affected by both the health and economic impact of COVID-19.
With your support, our emergency grants are providing food, supplies, medical assistance, and legal resources to asylum seekers, who have no safety net and no status from which to draw on government assistance.
In the weeks ahead, we will be looking out for more needs such as emergency services for people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, and Palestinian labourers stranded with no place to go in Israel.
We know there is a lot of uncertainty as an end-point to this crisis is not in sight.
But we also know, as steadfast supporters of NIF’s work, who share our commitment to tolerance, equality and safety in Israel, you may like to be part of this response to those most in need.
I’m grateful to be part of the NIF community with you. All of us have been deeply moved by the displays of generosity and kindness we’ve already seen, as we take care of loved ones and those who are most at risk.
We hope that you and your family stay safe and that we find a way to make it through these unprecedented times.
Thank you for all that you do.
