Join us for an in-depth look at Israeli democracy and human rights in a decisive election year.
The panel brings together Ron Gerlitz and Mariam Kabaha from aChord, who will present the latest Israeli public opinion polling, alongside Rabbi Mikhael Manekin of Faithful Left, Director of the Alliance Fellowship. Together, they will examine how public opinion, civil society, and political choices are being shaped in the run-up to the election. They will be in conversation with Journalist Alona Ferber.

Ron Gerlitz joined aChord as CEO in October 2019, leading its expansion into new arenas, partnerships, and deeper field impact. Previously, he spent over a decade as Co-Executive Director of Sikkuy, a Jewish-Arab organisation promoting equality and shared society, where he helped drive significant policy change for Arab citizens within the Israeli government.

| Mariam Kabaha is Vice CEO of aChord. She previously served as Israel’s National Commissioner for Equal Employment Opportunities, leading efforts to advance workplace equality and combat discrimination across sectors. Mariam brings deep experience in public service and inclusion to her role.

Mikhael Manekin is Director of the Alliance Fellowship programme, an Arab-Jewish political network in Israel supported by the New Israel Fund. He previously led Breaking the Silence and the think tank Molad, and is a founder of the Faithful Left movement promoting equality through Jewish tradition. Mikhael is a published author, a fellow in religion and public life, and was honoured with a New Israel Fund Human Rights Award in 2023.

| Alona Ferber is the senior editor at Prospect Magazine, a monthly current affairs magazine edited by Alan Rusbridger. She writes on politics and policy, specialising in coverage of Israel and Palestine. During her career, she has interviewed major public figures such as Tony Blair and Sheryl Sandberg.
