Following their genesis seven years ago, Ramadan tours for Jewish Israelis have really taken off this year, with the Israeli government launching a major advertising campaign to promote Ramadan tours in the Galilee. Long-standing NIF grantee Sikkuy, the Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality, really spearheaded the growth of Ramadan tours. Sikkuy values tourism as an important means to promote shared-society and enhance the visibility of Arab culture, and ensures each tour is led by a Muslim and Jewish guide.
