Noeleen’s professional background is in marketing and brand management for a number of multi-nationals during which time she taught communications and brand strategy to post-graduate students. She currently is Chair of the Board of Directors of networking start-up, Circle Sq.

Noeleen has had a long involvement with the New Israel Fund including serving on our Human Rights Awards Dinner Committee from 2012-2016.

We are thrilled that Noeleen is taking over as Chair of NIF UK. Noeleen is totally committed to the work of our grantees and is passionate about the values and ethos of the New Israel Fund. She has a strong track-record of leadership within our community and we have no doubt that under her leadership NIF UK will continue to flourish.

The Recruitment Committee carried out a through search for Clive’s replacement, and we thank them for the robust process they put in place. We were delighted that they were able to recommend Noeleen and that the Board approved her appointment unanimously. We are in no doubt they made the right decision!

With Best Wishes

Noeleen Cohen

“I have been an active and passionate supporter of NIF for many years and am excited to be chairing an organisation that is led by an outstanding Board of Trustees and excellent Professional Team.

It is an honour to be taking over from Clive, who has so skilfully chaired NIF and expanded its reach as the leading organisation advancing democracy and equality in Israel.

Taking on this role is an opportunity to get even closer to the advocacy and education work that NIF does in the UK and Israel, and to champion our grantees who strive every day to build a more just and equitable Israel.

It has been an extraordinary year. NIF’s swift response to the impact of the pandemic on the most vulnerable communities in Israel has been remarkable. This ability to respond with humanity and compassion is testament to the strength of NIF’s support in the UK and our community’s connection to its work and values.”
