Types of gifts explained

What kind of gift can I leave to the New Israel Fund UK in my will?

We’re hugely grateful for any gift you leave NIF. All donations will make a positive difference our mission of an Israel true to its founders’ vision of complete equality to all its inhabitants.
There are three main types of gift you can leave:

Residuary – Once you have taken care of your loved ones you can leave a share of your estate to NIF. The advantage of a residual gift is it stays in line with inflation, ensuring your gift keeps its value over time. Even 1% of your estate can allow us to make significant strides in advancing equality for all Israeli’s.

Pecuniary – You can choose to leave a fixed amount of money.

Specific – You can choose to leave a specific item, such shares, jewellery, art or any other personal possession that you think will be of some value to NIF when sold.

We hope that clears up the jargon, but if you do have any further questions, please do get in touch or approach a solicitor.
