7/10: One Year On

For more than 30 years, the New Israel Fund (NIF) has been working to create change in the Negev (southern Israel).

These communities, both Jewish and Bedouin, endured the worst of the trauma and displacement of 7 October, intensifying long-standing issues of inequality and underdevelopment in the area.

Years of experience working – for and with – these communities and several wins in the region, place us as ideal partners to support them throughout this unprecedented challenge.

Nearly a year after the devastating events of 7 October, Israel’s Negev region continues to face immeasurable challenges. The Hamas attacks uprooted some 38,000 residents, many of whom have yet to return home.

One year on, we are launching our Equality and Partnership in the Negev Programme. This investment will help rebuild the communities directly impacted by the attacks and ensure that those often-forgotten communities that NIF exists to support are represented, funded and supported.

Together, we can turn hope into action and create a better tomorrow for the Negev and beyond.

This appeal is part of our continued support for Israelis and Palestinians during this war.
